India achieved its biggest medal tally at any Asian Games by winning 107 medals at Hangzhou with plenty of memorable moments.

The 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou will be remembered by India for the record 107 medals achieved. The 660-member contingent returned with 28 golds, 38 silvers and 41 bronzes from the Games in China. Never before had India won these many medals at an Asian Games. Never before had India won these many gold medals at an Asian Games. Never before had India triumphed in these many sports.Asian Games 2023: India's medal winnersArchery, shooting and athletics gathered plenty of attention as India achieved 37 medals more than their previous best (70 medals at 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia). The fourth place finish is also a big jump from eighth that time around.The historic success comes two years after India achieved their biggest tally at an Olympics - winning seven medals at the Games in Tokyo - including an individual gold by Neeraj Chopra. It raises expectations for the next year's Olympics in Paris.There were plenty of highs across the two week Games: sweep in compound archery, duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty winning a historic gold in men's doubles badminton, Avinash Sable, Annu Rani, men's 4x400m relay team captured the imagination on the track, fighting bronze medal for HS Prannoy, Mukherjees in women's doubles table tennis, Aishwary Pratap Singh and Esha Singh bagged four medals and golds were regained in men's kabaddi and hockey.
