Sourav Ganguly's wife Dona files police complaint in Kolkata over obscene, body-shaming remarks on social media
Dona Ganguly has alleged that a Facebook account has been making objectionable comments on her since her performance at the recently held Kolkata International Film Festival.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly's wife Dona lodged a complaint with the Kolkata Police on Wednesday over objectionable remarks that are allegedly being labelled against her on social media.
Dona, an Odissi dancer, approached the Thakurpukur Police Station in Kolkata on Wednesday night to register her complaint. Police have registered a formal complaint with regards to her allegations against unknown persons..
Dona has alleged that she is facing obscene and body-shaming comments from a Facebook account on social media.
As per a report in the News18, the complaint states that a Facebook page has been posting continuous obscene comments targeting the Indian classical dancer over her performance at the Kolkata International Film Festival.
The 31st Kolkata International Film Festival took place from November 6–13, 2025 and Dona had performed at the event. She has alleged that the Facebook account has been posting objectionable remarks since her performance and also body-shaming the dancer.
Dona Ganguly's earlier complaint
Earlier this year, Dona had filed another complaint previously in March. In her then complaint to the cyber cell of the Kolkata Police, she had alleged that a YouTuber was making defamatory content targetting her family on social media.
The social media influencer had made several allegations against the Ganguly family. The YouTuber had also claimed that he was a neighbour of the former Indian captain.
The influencer was making videos claiming that the Ganguly family showed negligence towards an ailing vegetable vendor. The posts also featured photographs of the residence of the former Indian captain and a vehicle.
The complaint by Dona in March had challenged the credibility of these claims by the content creator.
Sourav and Dona were childhood freinds and are married since 1996. The two have a daughter named Sana.
