Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs poster released; cast includes Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton

Four years after the release of his last film The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wes Anderson has announced the release date and cast of his next project Isle of Dogs.A poster of the film was released on the film's official Twitter account. In it, a boy wearing a space suit seems to have landed on an island inhabited by dogs using a parachute.Isle of Dogs tells the story of a young Japanese boy who embarks on a journey to search for his lost pet dog. The cast of the film is star-studded and includes Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Greta Gerwig, Harvey Keitel, Liev Shreiber, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton and Yoko Ono.This film marks the return of the director to stop-motion animation after nearly a decade; his last stop-motion film was Fantastic Mr. Fox, which released in 2009.Wes Anderson has revealed that this film is inspired by the works of legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa, who directed classics such as Seven Samurai and Rashomon, as well as the stop-motion animation cartoons he watched in his childhood.In the past, Wes Anderson has directed films such as Moonrise Kingdom, The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore.Isle of Dogs is set to release on 20 April, 2018.
