Spice Girls are all set to make a comeback but without Victoria Beckham and Mel C

Here's the news you really really really want to hear. Spice Girls is getting back to celebrate the group's 20th birthday.Well, not the entire group. The new incarnation of the Spice Girls, called GEM, will consist of Geri Halliwell, Mel B, and Emma Bunton, who confirmed they are getting back together in a special video message.[caption id="attachment_3123786" align="alignleft" width="380"] A still from the video message[/caption]"We've been thinking, we have the best friends in the whole entire world," Mel B starts, before a video of Halliwell interrupts with the line: "You've stood by us for 20 years, and we want to say a big thank you."Bunton adds "We've had our ups and downs, but you've always been there," before the trio reveal that there’s going to be a big celebration at some point in the near future.Mel C, who is not joining the reunion along with Victoria Beckham said in a recent interview that she felt right by giving her old band’s reunion a miss. Mel C said: "It was a really hard decision to make. But once it was made I felt very relieved and that proved to me that my instinct was right."Asked in an interview with Sunday Times whether she wished her former band mates luck in carrying on the Spice legacy, she chose her words carefully. "Of course, as a new group, I do," she said.They’re famed for hits like 'Wannabe' — but Victoria Beckham doesn’t want the Spice Girls singing any of their previous smashes. “I do think they should sing their own material though, because what we did in the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs I think I might be a bit sad.”No dates or official plans were announced but it was recently leaked by tabloids that the three Spice Girls had booked a date at Hyde Park for next July. The five singers last appeared together at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, where they played the songs 'Wannabe' and 'Spice Up Your Life'.Here's the video message that is the prelude to their single:
