They were part of a Marathi entertainment delegation. Saraf walked the red carpet in an ivory bandhgala with black trousers. Nivedita Saraf wore a floral saree with a zari-work shawl.

Ashok Saraf once said in an interview, "I think my film Gondhalat Gondhal was the first one that broke the stereotype of Marathi films. Since then, everyone started doing social comedy. Hum Paanch was one of the shows that changed the style of comedy, and I feel so blessed,” he said. He also added, “We can only predict what film or project the audience would love, but can’t promise whether it would surely work at the box office."

The veteran added, "I was never interested in celebrating my birthday. I am not that person, but nowadays people respect me and celebrate my birthdays on shows and television, and that makes me emotional."
