Jamshedpur: Free Legal Aid Committee (FLAC), an NGO engaged in spreading awareness against superstition of 'Dain' (witch), today demanded ban on Emraan Hashmi starrer Ek Thi Daayan.Prem Chand alias Premji of FLAC, said he had recently written a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee demanding immediate ban on the just released film as it glorifies the superstition.[caption id="attachment_713940" align="alignleft" width="380"]
Courtesy: ibn live[/caption]The Emraan Hashmi starrer, directed by Kannan Iyer and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, as well as tele-serials being telecast on the theme will "only glorify the culprits engaged in inflicting mental and physical torture on innocent women on the pretext of being a witch," Premji told reporters here.He said that 14 states including Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana were affected by this problem.PTI
