Narendra Modi may have hinted he's an Imtiaz Ali fan with his response to director's 'backfie'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the National Museum of Cinema in Mumbai on Saturday. The inauguration ceremony was attended by a host of Bollywood stars, including veteran actor Manoj Kumar, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Kangana Ranaut, filmmakers Karan Johar, Rohit Shetty and Imtiaz Ali, and many more.According to Hindustan Times, the prime minister began his speech with the popular line from the recently released film Uri: The Surgical Strike. “How's the josh,” he asked, drawing laughter and applause.Writer-director Imtiaz Ali, who could not take a picture with Modi, posted an interesting photo with a quirky caption in tow. He struck a pose with Johar and Aaryan, with Modi in the background. The caption read 'Losers’ backfie with the honorable PM.'Within no time, responding to Imtiaz's post with an interesting wordplay, Modi posted, "Not losers but Rockstars! No selfie Jab We Met but there will always be another occasion."  Here, Modi referred to the films Rockstar and Jab We Met, both popular films directed by Ali. Comedian Kapil Sharma also posted a photo from the inauguration ceremony and shared a note praising the prime minister's humour.In a reply to his post, Modi said that he is happy to know that Sharma, a renowned comedian, appreciates his humour. Modi had recently hosted two delegations of Bollywood personalities. While a delegation of younger actors including Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt and Rajkummar Rao among others, met the PM in Delhi, an earlier panel, which included names like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and filmmakers Karan Johar and Siddharth Roy Kapur, was criticised for not including any women.
