Karthi's Diwali release Kaashmora's running time trimmed; will release in over 400 screens
Kaashmora will be releasing on Friday and just two days before the release reports are suggesting that the film's running time has been cut to 152 minutes.

Kaashmora will be releasing on Friday, 28 October, and just two days before the release reports are suggesting that the film's running time has been reduced to 152 minutes. The film will be releasing in over 400 screens, the highest ever for a Karthi film.Sreedhar Pillai, Firstpost columnist and well-known trade expert, tweeted on Wednesday.Speaking about his film, director Gokul said to Gulf News, “Kaashmora is a multiple-genre film that travels between horror and fantasy, and history and present times.”In an interview to IBTimes India Karthi revealed that though the film has two heroines — Nayanthara and Sri Divya— there is no romance involved."The story didn't require it. If the film is engaging enough and doesn't require this, then it means the script has got something else to engage the audience. This film has that factor. Only after Gokul narrated the script, he told me there was no romance and I realised it myself," he says.Clashing with Kaashmora at the box office is Dhanush-starrer Kodi. While Karthi plays a triple role in Kaashmora, Dhanush will be seen in a double role in his film. But the similarities do not end there. Both the Diwali releases have the same music director, Santhosh Narayanan, composing their music.According to Sify movies Kodi will be releasing in over 400 screens. It is believed that Karthi's film will also have as many screens, but this is the highest distribution that the Komban actor's film has ever seen.
