Cricketer Harbhajan Singh was one of the commentators for the India-Australia match at the ICC World Cup 2023 finals. While discussing the match, when the camera panned on Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty (actresses and wives of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul), Singh made a rather distasteful and disrespectful remark that quickly led to social media backlash and outrage.

He could be heard saying, “This is what I was thinking if they are talking about cricket or films..Because I don’t know how much they understand cricket.”
