Akshay Kumar breaks silence on his Vimal ad with Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn after social media outrage
Seeing the backlash on social media, the Mission Raniganj actor shared a note X and wrote- "These ads were shot on 13th October, 2021. I have not had anything to do with the brand ever since I publicly announced the discontinuation of the endorsement."
Recently, Akshay Kumar joined Shah Rukh Khan, and Ajay Devgn for a new advertisement of Vimal. Actor and model Soundarya Sharma is also a part of the commercial. However, it seems like Akshay Kumar fans are not too excited about him promoting a tobacco brand.
The clip shared by a SRK fan page opens to Shah Rukh and Ajay Devgn waiting for Akshay Kumar in a car, but the OMG 2 actor is unable to hear the horn as he is busy listening to music on headphones. SRK tries to get Kumar to listen by throwing a ball toward his glass window, but it ends up hitting his neighbor Soundarya Sharma’s window. An irritated Ajay Devgn opens a packet of Vimal and points towards Kumar’s window. Drown by the aroma of it, the OMG 2 actor comes to the window and Ajay Devgn asks him to come down.

For the unversed, earlier, Akshay Kumar was trolled for being a part of the Vimal brand. Following this, the Bell Bottom actor even apologized to his fans with a heartfelt note on his official Instagram account.
