Volkswagen India begins deliveries of the Ameo petrol

Deliveries of Volkswagen’s first compact sedan, the Ameo, have begun recently. Bookings for the car had begun in May 12, 2016. The car was subsequently launched in India on June 6, 2016 at Rs 5.14 lakh, ex-Mumbai for the base Trendline trim. Currently, the Volkswagen Ameo is available only in a petrol variant, while the diesel variant is expected to be launched in India during the Diwali season. The Ameo petrol’s Comfortline and Highline trims are priced at Rs 5.88 lakh and Rs 6.92 lakh (ex-Mumbai), respectively.
