New photos of the 2017 Volkswagen Polo surface online

German car-maker Volkswagen will be unveiling its new Polo 2017 hatchback at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2017. However, ahead of the scheduled launch, leaked photos of the car have emerged on the internet.[caption id="attachment_383221" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: Wheelsage[/caption]The leaked photos show subtle changes that have been made to the body, including the headlights and the bumper. The new Polo model features a sloping roof and roof spoiler and also has bigger tires than its predecessor. The front of the car has a honeycomb grille and red detailing. The car also appears to sport Halogen lamps.The interior aspects of the car have not been yet been revealed, but it is rumoured to have a host of new features. One of the new features is supposedly a touchscreen infotainment system which will have smartphone integration in the form Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.Looking at the exterior of the Polo 2017, it seems to be quite similar to the outgoing model, however, this sixth-generation of Polo is based on the VW group's flexible MQB platform. The previous version was built on the PQ25 platform.The new hatchback is wider and longer and the cabin will have more room than the outgoing generation of the Polo. the car support either a 1-litre or a 1.5-litre petrol engine and also comes in a 1.6-litre diesel engine variant as well. There's also supposed to be a GTI version with a 2-litre engine generating 197 bhp.
