New Aprilia SR models coming to India by early 2017
After the success of the Aprilia SR 150, its owners the Piaggio Group are now ready to take things forward with the brand by introducing some more models under with the same SR badging.
Aprilia's SR 150 was well received by the Indian market offering plenty of features with the right power at the right price. Its owners the Piaggio Group are now ready to take things forward with the brand by introducing some more models under with the same SR badging.Car and Bike reports that the Italian manufacturer will be bringing a new SR scooter to India as early as January 2017. Stefano Pelle, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Piaggio India commented on the same at the recent Piaggio event which saw the launch of both the special edition Vespa 946 and the 70th Anniversary Edition Vespa in India.
Not much has been known about the upcoming models. Pelle simply commented stating that they will be "more peppier" than the current model, which could hint at an increase in the engine's capacity.The currently available SR 150 is priced at Rs 65,000 and showcases the edgy Aprilia design which is visible in its superbikes. The SR 150 comes with its headlight embedded into the front apron and the same goes for the turn indicators that have been placed in the handle bar. Beating at the heart of this sporty machine is a single cylinder 150cc, 4-stroke engine.
