Firefly: World’s first car for five-year olds unveiled

It is powered by twin electric motors and has a claimed top speed of 16kmph

The search for properly engineered car for kids finally comes to an end. Young Driver Motor Cars Limited has unveiled the world’s first electric car especially developed for kids, aged between five and 10 years.

Young Driver Motor Cars, a division of Young Driver which specialises in providing pre-17 driving lessons, revealed Firefly as a prototype at the 2016 Gadget Show Live. Young Driver came to the idea of fully developed cars for kids when it discovered that there was nothing suitable for kids to drive, except toys.
