CNBC-TV18 Overdrive Awards 2016: Nominees for Car of the Year

This is the most prestigious of them all. A whopping 18 four-wheelers from different categories are in competition for the coveted OVERDRIVE Car of the Year title. To qualify for the CNBC-TV18 Overdrive Car of the Year title, the vehicle can be from any of our other categories so long as it is locally assembled or manufactured. The full list of the OVERDRIVE Car of the Year nominees is below in no particular order:

The Car of the Year category will be judged by a panel of experts on a range of criteria (read more about our judging methodology here) including how well they suit the role, value for the money they demand and also how involving they are to drive. No matter the category, we at OVERDRIVE value driving involvement. A car has to put a smile on its drivers face, no matter the power or price and that's definitely one of the criteria in our judging process.
