The defense minister of Russia made a statement on Tuesday, but the Ukrainian military rejected it, claiming that Moscow's forces had complete control of the village of Krynky, which is located in the southern Kherson district on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River.

Russian forces had not advanced on the eastern bank, according to a Telegram statement from the southern military region of Ukraine, and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu's remarks were a "falsification of the facts".
