It is thought that four individuals were stabbed while travelling on a train that stopped at Tokyo's Akihabara station. Citing local police, Japanese broadcaster NHK reported on Wednesday that one of the most popular routes in Tokyo, the Yamanote loop line, saw its train suspended at around 1356 GMT on Wednesday owing to "trouble on the train" at Akihabara station, according to a statement from East Japan Railway Company on social media platform X.According to NHK, there was a report of a lady brandishing a knife aboard a train at Akihabara Station. The Metropolitan Police Department is conducting an investigation after apprehending the accused thought to have been carrying the weapon.(With agency inputs)
