India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue: A look at all that will be on table

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin will travel to India for the 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue with their Indian counterparts External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on November 10.The delegation will meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other senior Indian officials to discuss bilateral and global concerns and developments in the Indo-Pacific, US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said.Here's a look at all that will be discussed at the upcoming US-India 2+2 Dialogue:

1. Created in 2018, the 2+2 Dialogue allows the US and India to lead high-level discussions about strategic and defense issues. This year, the two countries will discuss America's cooperation with India to keep the Indo-Pacific free open, prosperous, and secure.
2. The delegation will also hold talks on the ongoing Israel-Hamas war as well as Russia's war against Ukraine. India's direct condemnation of the Hamas terrorist attack aligns with America's view on the war and according to a presser by Assistant Secretary Bureau Of South And Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu, "With India, we share the goals of preventing this conflict from spreading, preserving stability in the Middle East, and advancing a two-state solution.
3. US will also encourage more collaboration with India to produce world-class defense equipment to meet Indian defense needs and contribute to greater global security.
4. The four cabinet officials will also discuss efforts to advance democracy and human rights, as well as our expanded cooperation in clean energy, counterterrorism, artificial intelligence, space, and semiconductor manufacturing.
