China willing to enhance coordination, cooperation with Belarus in multilateral mechanisms

President Xi Jinping expressed a willingness to bolster its strategic cooperation with Belarus after a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Monday. Xi also conveyed China's readiness to strengthen coordination and collaboration with Belarus in various multilateral mechanisms, including the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, as reported by the official news agency Xinhua.

Xi emphasized the importance of enhancing cross-border transport facilitation, promoting economic and trade relations, and fostering people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, according to Xinhua.

The Chinese leader also said Beijing and the Eastern European country should implement projects such as the China-Belarus industrial park and promote industrial cooperation.
