Sachin Bansal, Bhavish Aggarwal to give Indian startups a voice with lobby group

Enough is enough, and Indian startups are tired of being given the secondary treatment even though many have raised massive funds from venture capital and private equity firms when compared to their global counterparts like Amazon and Uber. Business Standard reports that Sachin Bansal and Bhavish Aggrawal have put together a lobby group, which should give Indian startups consideration against the invasion of foreign businesses.Bansal who comes from Flipkart and Aggarwal from Ola, have planned to tie up with the big names in the Indian startup scene to launch a group that will be officially announced on the 6 or 7 December at a technology event in India.Other names that are expected to be a part of this group include Shashank ND of Practo, Girish Mathrubootham of Freshdesk and Vijay Shekhar Sharma of Paytm.The move is a much-needed effort to create a level playing field especially when the services and sectors cross one another. A clear example is international ride-sharing service Uber that is after Indian startup in the same field, Ola.As per Business Standard, Uber has far more monies in equity ($12.9 billion) compared to Ola which seems to be bleeding money thanks to the price war between the two.
