Xiaomi teased Mi Drone in a video ahead of launch

Xiaomi is stated to unveil a new product category on 25 May - Drones. They informally announced the launch with their super moderator posting a teaser image on Mi forums recently. We had earlier put up all the details about Xiaomi's first drone along with the images posted then.Android Central was the first to pick up a video teaser showing the drone on Chinese Streaming site Youku. The video shows that the drone will be like a Quadcopter with four balanced legs and a camera mounted in the middle. However the video shows the device to be white in colour instead of the black colour shown in the pictures posted in the forums. We have added the YouTube mirror of the videoThe drone is pegged to be 4K ready in terms of shooting videos and according to a patent may be controlled by Mi Band or gestures. This unveil and subsequent announcement will push Xiaomi in a direction where it is set to go against the likes of DJI and their offerings in drone technology and hardware. The event will be live streamed on mi.com on 25 May.
