Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A leak hints at 21 August launch, Snapdragon 425 platform and 13 MP rear camera

According to the site, the Redmi Note 5A will feature a 5.5-inch HD display (1280x720), a Snapdragon 425 platform with 4x 1.4 GHz cores and 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a 5 MP front camera, a 13 MP rear camera and a 3,080 mAh battery.The device is expected to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and weighs 150 g. SlashLeaks claims that the device will sell for CNY 999 (around Rs 10,000) and that it will make its debut on 21 August.The phone has been expected for about a month as images of the retail packaging of the device leaked in July.The Redmi Note 5A is not to be confused with a Redmi 5A, which will be an entry-level device.The Redmi Note 5, details of which leaked last month, is supposed to come with a 5.5-inch FHD display (1920x1080) and with a choice of either a Snapdragon 630 or the Snapdragon 660 platform. The device is expected to pack in a 3,790 mAh battery and support QuickCharge 3.0 over USB-C. It’s also supposed to pack in a 16 MP rear camera  (Sony IMX 234, f/2.0) and a 13 MP front camera.The Note 5 is expected to launch in at least three variants in the following RAM/storage options: 3/32, 4/32 and 4/64. These are expected to be priced at CNY 1,200 (around Rs 11,500), CNY 1,400 (around Rs 13,500) and CNY 1,500 (around Rs 14,500) respectively.
