Xiaomi's mammoth Mi Max 2 has finally got its first permanent price cut. The phablet smartphone is now selling for Rs 1,000 cheaper bringing the price of  its base model down to Rs 13,999. Both the 64 GB model and the recently introduced 32 GB model get the permanent drop in price. The 32 GB model which was recently launched at Rs 14,999 now sells for Rs 13,999, while the original 64 GB internal storage variant, which initially went up on sale at Rs 16,999 is now available at Rs 15,999. But there's more.If you buy the smartphone from Flipkart, you can avail an exchange offer getting you up to Rs 15,000 on you old handset.There is also a buyback guarantee, where you can get an assured price when you exchange the handset for a new product a few years down the line. Then, there are the usual discounts available on various cards.The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a 6.4-inch full HD display with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protecting it. Inside, buyers will get a tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with an octa-core setup and an Adreno 506 GPU.
