With Project Zero, Samsung's reportedly working on Galaxy S6 from scratch

After the not-so-popular Galaxy S5, Samsung has allegedly began working on its successor, the Galaxy S6. According to Sammobile, a prolific tipster known to provide accurate information about unannounced Samsung devices, has now learnt that the company plans to build the S5 successor from scratch and therefore has aptly named it as Project Zero.

Citing unknown sources, the report suggests that the Galaxy S6 is now in early stages of development, so they couldn't reveal or confirm any specs. It should be noted that, in the past, Samsung has used codenames for its device project as Project J  for Galaxy S4, Project H  for Galaxy Note 3, Project K  for Galaxy S5 and Project T  for Galaxy Note 4.

Project Zero seems like a very different approach of nomenclature. It also hints at Samsung trying to build something different and unique, that could possibly help its failing Galaxy lineup bounce back. This isn't the first time we are hearing about the Galaxy S6, a previous report revealed the device may feature 4K display, 4GB RAM and 20 MP camera.

After the success of the Galaxy S3, Samsung hasn't really managed to woo audiences with the S4 and S5. Moreover, it has also been facing stiff competition in the low to mid range markets from companies like Micromax, Xiaomi and so on.
