Windows 10 Creators Update is coming to 13 supported smartphones on 25 April

The latest Windows 10 Creators Update was recently rolled out for laptops, tablets and other PCs. However, there was no mention if Microsoft would bring the update to smartphones running on Windows.It seems that it will. Microsoft has officially said in a blog post that only 13 Windows 10 based smartphones will be getting the new update. The smartphone list includes:

• Microsoft Lumia 550
• Microsoft Lumia 640
• Microsoft Lumia 640XL
• Microsoft Lumia 650
• Microsoft Lumia 950
• Microsoft Lumia 950 XL
• Alcatel IDOL 4S
• Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
• SoftBank 503LV
• VAIO Phone Biz
• MouseComputer MADOSMA Q601
• Trinity NuAns NEO

The blog post goes on to say, "We recognise that many Insiders will be disappointed to see their device is no longer supported. We looked at feedback from our Windows Insiders and realised that we were not providing the best possible experience for our customers on many older devices. That helped us determine which devices we support for the Windows 10 Creators Update. We are continually listening to your feedback to provide the best experience for ALL of our customers."Microsoft launched the new Creators Update for PCs on 11 April after it was first announced in October last year. As the name suggests, the new update is more for the art enthusiasts, but then there are other areas of improvement as well.
