Both the packs also offer 100 SMS per day for their users. This pack is only applicable for Vodafone users in the Kerala telecom circle. No information is available as to when and if Vodafone will launch these plans in other circles. The interesting thing is that even though the Rs 158 pack is only Rs 7 more than the Rs 151 pack, it offers 28 GB of data as compared to the 1 GB found in the Rs 151 pack. The Rs 158 plans is likely to be in direct competition with Reliance Jio's Rs. 149 pack that also offers unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, but gives 1.5GB data per day instead of 1 GB by Vodafone. It also has a validity of 28 days. Vodafone is not only aiming at Jio but it is also competing against Airtel's Rs 169 pack which is identical to its offering.Disclosure - Reliance Industries Ltd. is the sole beneficiary of Independent Media Trust which controls Network18 Media & Investments Ltd
