Vivaldi Browser version 1.5 released, adds improvements to tabs, notes and reader view

Vivaldi has introduced a number of features in its latest version. Vivaldi already had a pretty capable tab management system, with the facility for stacking and tiling of tabs. A single tab could contain multiple tabs, with the option of switching to any page in a stack. This is a feature meant for those who open a number of pages at once. Now, users can select multiple tabs and stack them at once. Previously, the tabs had to be dragged into the stack one by one. Tabs and stacks can now also be dragged between two Vivaldi windows.Notes is an integrated note taking app that allows users to jot down points, take screenshots, and attach media files from within the browser itself. Notes now support automatic screenshots for context of the pages that inspired the notes. A screenshot, a url and a timestamp appears next to every note.[caption id="attachment_348977" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Notes are integrated into the browser[/caption]The address bar now has a reader mode button. The button appears automatically on pages which can be rendered in reader mode. The readermode declutters the page by removing all images, and presenting the text in a simple way against a plain white background.[caption id="attachment_348974" align="aligncenter" width="640"] The regular view, and the reader view of the same page[/caption]Vivaldi has added integration with Philips Hue bulbs, the first browser to go into the home automation space. The settings menu contains an option to enable Philips Hue, after which the lights in your surroundings change according to the colours of the web pages you surf. Users can select which lights the browser should control.The last major change is that Vivaldi now supports delta updates. A feature meant to be conservative on bandwidth use, when users click on update now, Vivaldi will only download the bits of the browser that have been changed since the previous update.
