At E3 this year, Ubisoft pulled another new IP out of its hat—massively multiplayer squad-based third person shooter The Division. The company has now explained a lot about the game on the Ubisoft blog in a Q&A session with fans. One of the questions was regarding the possibility of the game making it to PCs, to which Ubisoft Corporate Community Manager Nicholas Ross-Edwards replied that while the game was built with the next-gen consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4) in mind, the company isn’t ruling out other platforms.

The company has explained that The Division is a squad-based game where players can team up with a few friends and drop in and out of the game at any moment. Player versus player (PVP) combat is also a constant threat with new firefights erupting out of nowhere. "In certain areas, you can also seamlessly engage in PvP and experience suspenseful scenarios where danger can come from anywhere and anyone," says the post.

The animations in The Division are incredibly realistic

Elaborating on the PVP aspect of the game, the blog post states that the choices players make as an agent can either spur a recovery or plunge the city further into chaos. "The people you meet in certain areas of the game can either be your best friends or your worst enemies. So you’ll constantly be making decisions that will impact the world around you."
