Toyota Fortuner 2016 details leaked, no more 2.4 litre variant

Japanese car maker Toyota recently teased the new 2016 edition of its popular Fortuner SUV which is expected to arrive this month in India. A variant list of the upcoming SUV has leaked giving out details of what one can expect when it arrives.According to reports, the new Fortuner will be available in diesel and petrol engine variants right from the day of the launch. The new SUV will be available with a 2.8-litre diesel engine and a 2.7-litre petrol engine. So this year we won’t be getting a 2.4-litre engine variant.The 2016 Toyota Fortuner will be available in six trims which include a 4×2 Petrol with Manual Transmission, 4×2 Petrol with Automatic Transmission, 4×2 Diesel with Manual Transmission, 4×2 Diesel with Automatic Transmission, 4×4 Diesel with Manual Transmission and 4×4 Diesel with Automatic Transmission. The 4×2 models will be fitted with 17-inch wheels along with all terrain tyres while the 4×4 models will come with 18-inch wheels along with highway terrain tyres.Some of the new features that are expected to feature on the new Toyota Fortuner include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, reverse camera, 7 inch touchscreen equipped T-Connect infotainment system, with satellite navigation, electrically adjustable driver seat, electric tail-gate, traction control system, Down-hill Assist Control (DAC) system cruise control and driving modes.The new SUV is expected to launch on 7 November.
