EA has announced that the upcoming new game in the Sims franchise will start shipping in autumn 2014 worldwide. The game, titled The Sims 4, is currently being developed at Maxis’ The Sims Studio. According to EA, it will be a definite update over earlier titles in the series. It will feature new creative tools and enhanced emotion and intelligence.

Still some time before you can start ruining the life of a virtual character
The new game will be expanding on the personalisation options that have been offered in previous games of the series, and is said to have new and intuitive tools to do so. Players will also have the ability to share whatever they create with their friends. The series can be counted as one of the most popular franchises in gaming history and has managed to sell more than 150 million copies worldwide as of May 2011, making it the best-selling PC game in history.
The franchise is the brainchild of Will Wright and made its debut during the turn of the millennium in 2000. It revolves around the player making a Sim or a family of Sims and then controlling everything they do in their lives, ranging from their eating habits to personal hygiene to love lives.
Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
