Sony Unleash Killzone 3 Upon India

At Phoenix Mills, Mumbai yesterday, Sony unleashed the behemoth that is Killzone 3 upon avid gamers and certain members of the press. Like most gaming events, it all started with a pretty boring speech an overexcited MC hellbent on killing the audience with his "Hold your breath" one-liners. After that, things got a bit surreal as four dudes dressed as warlocks or Grim Reapers (I wanna say Helghasts but they looked nothing like them) came on to hand over a gigantic cardboard copy of the game to Sony’s Country Manager. Ok then.

The way it's meant to be played

From then on, things picked up a notch as we were assaulted by a few gameplay and behind the scenes videos that showcased some of Killzone 3’s new features like the brutally satisfying melee system.

And finally the highlight of the evening - for me at least - was playing the game on the big screen. And it looked sublime. Now we all know Killzone 3 is a good looking game but playing it on a 30 feet screen is something you have to experience first-hand.

Pure bliss

Besides the big screen, different kiosks were set up all over the theater where people could try the game out with Move support. I personally didn’t give it a go but from what I heard, it handled pretty well.

Totally immersed

Killzone 3 was officially released in India by the 22nd and is available in three variants. You have the Standard Edition, the Limited AKA Steelbook Edition and the Helghast (special) Edition. We’ve already reviewed it and as was evident by our rather positive score, we loved it.
