Sharp launches second Android One mobile called X1 with 3 GB RAM and Snapdragon 435

Japanese electronics company Sharp has launched its second smartphone under the Android One scheme, dubbed as the X1. The phone has been launched in Japan with a price tag of JPY 70,524 which is near about Rs 40,500.For such an expensive price-tag the phone is lagging woefully behind its competitors in terms of specifications. Technically speaking, the Sharp X1 comes with a 5.3 inch FHD IGZO LCD display screen while being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM. It is also dust and water resistant and packs a 3,900 mAh battery which the company claims can last for over 4 days with a single charge. In this respect the X1 scores higher than all its competitors who do not have that much of battery back up.It also has fingerprint scanner 6.4 MP rear camera, 8 MP front facing camera, USB Type C port, and Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The company has told that phone comes with 18 months of guaranteed Android updates. It measures 152.00 x 74.00 x 8.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs at around 169 gramsThe X1 is second in line of the Android One series, the first one being  Aquos 507SH which was launched in collaboration with Google. The Sharp X1 is now available to buy via Japanese carrier Y! Mobile.
