Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie beta update

Sometime last month, Samsung started rolling out the beta version of Android Pie to its 2018 smartphones, and this rollout has now reached the Galaxy Note 9 as well. Image: Omkar Patne[/caption]The update was first spotted by SamMobile, which says that starting today, the update will be available in all counties where the beta programme is available. Reportedly, the update does not bring a lot of big changes, but it does improve many big and small bugs in the smartphone, like autofill not working, freezing of the Dialer app, the YouTube app closing when you enter the recent apps screen, response delays during calls, among others.Apparently, the December 2018 security patch also comes along with the update. The December patch has also been released for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on Oreo, so it's likely that users who will not be adopting the beta programme will also get these security fixes.For the ones who want to join the beta programme, you can head to the Samsung Members or the Samsung+ app, where you should see an option for enrolling in the beta program when you hit the “Notices” button. From there, head to Settings > Software updates > Download updates manually, and enjoy the Android Pie beta.You can also read out Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review here.
