Volition's latest entry to its open-world epic Saints Row has been quite a success. Publisher Deep Silver's parent company Koch Media has announced that more than one million copies of Saints Row 4 have been sold since its release.

“We are incredibly happy of the reception for Saints Row IV as a critical and now a commercial success,” said Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. “The development team at Volition is second-to-none as a driving creative force in the entertainment industry and we are very proud to have them as part of the Deep Silver family.”Wub wub wub for everyone!

"A global commercial success such as this within the first week since launch of Saints Row IV proves the strength of this brand," comments Menno van der Bil, International Commercial Director at Deep Silver. "The over the top nature of Saints Row IV underlines the Deep Silver brand strategy perfectly and we are also ecstatic about the critical praise the game has received."

Along with this, Deep Silver has also announced some new DLC for Saints Row 4, namely, the Grass Roots DLC pack. It gives players more customisation options for their characters with overalls and daisy dukes, much like someone from the inner country of the US. It also has a bunch of weapons to match the theme, including a shotgun, assault rifle and a plunger launcher.

Another DLC, the Presidential pack, gives players more customisation options with attire and weapons that pay homage to older American leaders. Both of the DLC packs are available on Steam for the PC or Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for the console of your choice.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
