Oppo Find 7 Video: This phone has specs and hardware, but can it deliver?
Chinese electronics brand Oppo has only recently entered the Indian market and earlier this week, the company launched its latest model, the Find 7 in the market, along with a lower-spec'd sibling Find 7a. Both phones have premium build, but we managed to spend time with the Find 7 and came away impressed by the specs. Check out our first impressions here. Here's a short video showing off the phone and some of its UI. As you can see, Oppo has not changed its Color OS much, but we were never big fans of the UI. However, Oppo is sticking to it for better or for worse. Thankfully, you can easily change the launcher and much of the UI, thanks to the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean base. The Find 7 comes at a time when Chinese brands are pushing for a greater piece of the Indian market. Xiaomi is about to make a big splash when it launches in India, while Gionee has been slowly plugging away since a couple of years. We are currently awaiting the final retail handset from the company, before we can put it through the paces. We have a feeling this one will be special, but we still have some reservations about software optimisation and the battery life. Will the Oppo Find 7 manage to upstage the LG G3 in India? We'll find out soon enough.
