OnePlus launches OnePlus 3T with Snapdragon 821, 6GB RAM; adds 128GB storage option

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 3T last night on a Facebook Live. The latest device replaces OnePlus 3, the current flagship that was launched back in June. There are no significant changes in both devices except some obvious upgrades, making it a beefier version of OnePlus 3 as reported earlier. One thing to note is that the device will come with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 based Oxygen OS out-of-the-box with Android Nougat 7.0 update coming later this year.OnePlus 3T is powered by the latest Qualcomm Quad-core Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35GHz, Adreno 530 with 6GB RAM. The battery capacity has been increased to 3400mAh Lithium-ion from the 3000mAh battery included in OnePlus 3. The company has also added a 16MP Samsung 3P8SP camera sensor on the front, replacing the 8MP sensor that was previously used. OnePlus has introduced a new storage size variant of 128GB along with the standard 64GB storage variant with improved UFS 2.0 storage for faster performance. The company has added a sapphire crystal cover the rear camera to improve resistance towards accidental scratches.Other specifications like the 16MP rear camera, 5.5 Full HD Optic AMOLED display coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, DLNA, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, DASH Charge, USB 2.0 Type-C and NFC have remained unchanged. The sensors like Fingerprint, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and compass remain the same as OnePlus 3. The device is priced at $439 which translates to Rs 29,724 at the time of writing and will be available starting 22 November 2016. The company has also introduced a new colour replacing the Grey option with new 'GunMetal' colour alongside 'Soft Gold.'
