The Soft Gold variant of the OnePlus 3 is gorgeous and it's coming to India soon

OnePlus 3 has surely been a hit not just in the OnePlus community but also with reviewers and customers coming from other brands. And with this success, it's time for a variant of the OnePlus 3 to arrive. The much talked about Soft Gold version was finally made official via the smartphone maker's forums and the company has also given out availability details for the same.The OnePlus 3 in Soft Gold is expected to look and feel different. The company has taken a low-profile take on gold and given the smartphone a not-so-gaudy, subtle gold shade that's not in-your-face, but stands out despite that. That's what we can make from the renders at least. Hopefully, the actual device is as good as the renders lead us to believe.On the front, the black bezel is now white to accompany the light gold shade and will be unique to the Soft Gold OnePlus 3.According to this post, the smartphone will not be as slippery as most metal-clad phones these days. The finish is said to be like "silky-soft sand," which should lend itself to a better grip.Indeed, many will have to head to pop-events or simply purchase one blindly as OnePlus does not have any retail stores to begin with.Taking about purchasing a OnePlus 3 in Soft Gold, below are the international launch dates:

• EU - August 1, 12:00 pm CEST
• HK - August 1, 6:00 pm Hong Kong time

The OnePlus 3 in Soft Gold will not be a limited edition handset, but is being produced in smaller batches for now. As for the pricing, the handset is listed on the US website as a variant so we expect the price to remain the same as the Graphite model.Curious to know when the device will arrive in India? Well, customers will have to wait a bit.
