Nokia X Android smartphone to cost $110?

Nokia’s upcoming Android smartphone aka Normandy aka Nokia X has been spotted on a Vietnamese online retailer. It has been listed with model number A110 and is priced at $110, which translates to roughly Rs 6,800. The site however doesn’t mention any details about the availability. We’d earlier seen the Nokia X on the Vietnamese retailer site but without any pricing details. The listed specs reveal 512MB of RAM, 4GB onboard storage and support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor and also comes fitted with a 5-megapixel rear camera. The phone is believed to run a heavily skinned version of Android 4.4. KitKat, making it look more like Windows Phone, instead of your average Android phone. The leaked specs further strengthen the rumours that Nokia may push out its low-end Asha series running on Android OS, and camouflage it with a completely different UI. However, it is also believed that the Nokia X will ditch the Google Play Store and have support for the Nokia Store instead. On the other hand, company’s high-end Lumia device would still run on Windows Phone OS. One of the leaked renders of the device shows the device dipped in six colour variants: black, cyan, green, red, white and yellow. It will remind you of the new Asha phones, Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503. The device is likely to be launched this month before the Microsoft-Nokia deal is completed.
