It seems that Nokia has just dropped the bomb on the pricing for the Lumia 800, which will be Rs.29,999.

It seems that Nokia has just dropped the bomb on the pricing for the Lumia 800, which will be Rs.29,999. What seems to be an official pre-booking site has shown up on Google when you search for Lumia 800. We registered ourselves on the site and received a prompt follow up SMS stating that we would be contacted soon by a Nokia representative. About twenty minutes later, we got a call from a Nokia Priority Dealer requesting us to come down for a live demo. He also said the phone will be available starting from the 15th or 16th December. He also stated that while Nokia haven't revealed the MRP, you can buy the phone for Rs. 29,999.

Looks legit, right?
We’ve checked with Nokia officials and we got a confirmation that it’s the real deal and 30K will indeed be the launch price. However, Nokia is yet to officially announce the availability of the Lumia 800. Nokia should be officially unveiling the pre-order pricing anytime soon, so expect online stores like Flipkart and Letsbuy to update their pre-order listings as well. The Nokia Lumia 800 will run on Windows Phone Mango and it will feature a 1.4GHz processor.
Here is glace at the highlighted specification of the upcoming smartphone:
- 3.7-inch Clear Black display with a capacitive touchscreen featuring a 480 x 800 pixel resolution under Gorilla Glass
- 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi,
- GPS with A-GPS support for Bing Maps and hopefully Nokia Maps, as well
- Bluetooth with A2DP + EDR and USB 2.0
- 8MP AF camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a Dual LED flash, 720p HD recording (pity there's no full HD support)
- FM radio
- 16GB of internal storage
- Active noise cancellation
Even though, this is the MRP, it seems awefully high and may just be the most expensive Windows Phone, yet in the Indian market. Polycarbonate body aside, it's a standard WP7 phone internally with a few app add-ons. Stay tuned for the full review coming up shortly.
