The Nokia 8 might be revealed at an HMD Global event in London on 16 August

Nokia's latest flagship Android phone, the Nokia 8 is most likely to be unveiled on 16 August at an event in London, after months of speculations and leaks. The event will begin at 12 AM IST, according to HMD Global, and will most likely be broadcast on YouTube.[caption id="attachment_3936603" align="alignleft" width="380"] Image Courtesy: Baidu[/caption]The Nokia 8, according to tipsters, will have a price tag of EUR 589 (around Rs 43,300). Officially, no pricing has been confirmed by the company.The phone has been subjected to a number of leaks and renders in the past few months. A recent image of the phones benchmarks spotted on Slashleaks tells us that Nokia 8 will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 4 GB of RAM and an Adreno 540 GPU. The display will be QuadHD with 559 PPI pixel density.Also, the Nokia 8 will probably have capacitive navigation buttons along with a home button, where presumably, the fingerprint sensor has been embedded. Reputed tipster Evan Blass had earlier in July tweeted a photo of the Nokia 8 camera module captioned with a hashtag 'teaser' and confirmed that the phone will have a dual-camera setup. Also, several other leaks have pointed to the fact that HMD Global is to bring Carl Zeiss camera optics with the Nokia 8 smartphone.
