Nintendo 3DS Release Date and Pricing Expected Today
The press event in Amsterdam is expected to deliver on these fronts.

Are you eagerly waiting for the 3DS and want more details on when it’ll release, how much it will cost and what games will be bundled with it? Well, your wait is nearly over. Nintendo have a press event in Amsterdam today, in which they will preview the 3DS and will most likely reveal the European release date and pricing.
It's a red letter day for Nintendo
If you’re one of those who want to watch these kinds of events or press conferences live, Nintendo are going to help you out. The event will be webcast from the time it begins, so you won’t miss out on any of the details regarding the main presentation, first-hand reactions to the upcoming handheld console and the forthcoming games, with much more promised as well.
Just so you can finetune your expectations, the 3DS’ official Japanese 3DS date is February 26 and it is priced at 25,000 Japanese Yen, which translates to around Rs. 13,750. The Japanese Launch titles are as follows: Nintendogs & Cats, Winning Eleven Soccer 3D, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Samurai Warriors: Chronicle, Puzzle Bobble 3D, Ridge Racer 3D, Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D and Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle. Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D is widely expected to be part of the 3DS’ European launch line up.
I don’t know about you, but I’m majorly amped up for this. The 3DS is something I’ll definitely be getting, but I hope the strength of the Japanese Yen forces the European price down a bit because it is very likely that will reflect in the Indian price if the device ever makes it here. Either way, the press event is scheduled to start at around 1930 IST and you can watch the webcast here.
