Some (good?) news for Nokia loyalists. Nokia hasn’t actually forgotten its very own Symbian operating system. We saw that quite clearly with the Anna update and there’s something for Symbian^3 users, as well.Resizable Widgets

Resizable Widgets

Nokia Germany’s Blog shows off some new homescreens for Symbian^3. While it’s not the looks that have changed it seems that Nokia’s N8, C7 and E7 users can resize their widgets which couldn’t be done initially. This means if you have widgets that are not too frequent, they can be made smaller to accommodate other frequently used widgets.

Apparently this update should have been out as a PR 2.0 Anna update but that didn't happen. This update is supposedly scheduled to release some time post September this year but there’s no official confirmation on that. For now, you can check out the homescreen though.
