Netflix 4K streaming available on Windows 10 PCs, but with some terms and conditions

Netflix has 4K ready content and it is already available on apps on streaming boxes as well as UHD smart TVs which have Netflix app onboard. But for users who want to stream on a PC, at the moment only a FullHD streaming option is available. A reason for avoiding 4K streaming on PCs has been to avoid piracy.But from today onwards, Netflix 4K content will be available for streaming on Windows 10 PCs, provided your machine is recent one.How recent? Well, your system needs to have a 7th generation Intel Core series processor under the hood. Also your display needs to be a 4K display. This means that the 4K streaming on PCs is still out of reach for a majority of the Netflix audience, which is yet to upgrade to the latest generation Kaby Lake processor systems. The new Kaby lake processors support 10-bit HEVC which is a 4K video codec.Users in the US will also have to pay an additional $12 monthly premium subscription for Ultra HD streaming. Users will get early access to some Netflix shows than everyone else.Microsoft is using this opportunity to market its Edge browser, which it claims lets you see an extra episode on an Edge browser than on a Chrome browser.
