Meizu Pro 6 will launch with a top-of-the-line MediaTek X25 deca-core chipset

The MediaTek conference indeed saw plenty of new chipsets and innovations announced. And with those announcements also came some more from smartphone manufacturers who confirmed that they would utilise the new chipsets in upcoming smartphones models. After Vernee announced that the MediaTek X20 chipset would find a place in its Apollo smartphone, we also have a brand more known to us, Meizu who announced that its upcoming Pro 6 would feature a MediaTek X25 chipset.The MediaTek X25 is top-of-the-line stuff indeed. The X25 is an enhanced version of the X20 that utilizes the same deca-core (get used to it) setup but has been co-developed by Meizu and MediaTek. So the Mediatek X25 will not make an appearance in other smartphones for now as this is a limited period deal (that is bound to expire in the future).Indeed, this is a twist compared to what the rumour mill has been bragging about lately. Earlier rumours spoke about how the smartphone would include an Exynos 8890 from Samsung and 6GB of RAM along with a 3D Touch-like display. Also revealed, was that there would be two smartphones similar to what has been done in the past.The One packing in the Exynos silicon could the be MX6, while the bigger Pro 6 gets the X25 SoC. Also the news about the Pro 6 being available in two RAM and storage variants. One with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the second one would sport 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For now, there is no clear indicator about which handset is expected to be announced with an Exynos chipset.
