BlackBerry is set to embark on its most ambitious smartphone plan till date with the Passport, which will be launched in simultaneous events in London, Toronto and Dubai later today. We are on the spot in London for the event, which many analysts believe is critical to the company's plans of a turnaround. The Passport represent BlackBerry's realisation of sticking to what they know best and not diving into the deep-end of the consumer smartphone market with iOS and Android. With John Chen at the helm the industry pioneer has concluded a three-year long restructuring process and is focussing on its core strength of catering to the enterprise segment. The Passport features a lot of innovative features and aspects that some would call risky. Most notably, it's design and wide form factor is head-turning, while BlackBerry is promising a touch typing experience unlike any other with its new keyboard.
