The report says that the smartphone will named "G Flex" for the curved smartphone, and will come with a 6-inch OLED screen. The report adds that LG could launch the smartphone in November.
According to a report on Wall Street Journal which quotes sources at the company, LG plans to use "a "plastic OLED" screen, using materials that are more flexible than conventional liquid-crystal-display screens," for the screen of the Flex smartphone.

LG's phone if launched in November will be after Samsung launches its own flexible screen display. Reuters had previously reported that Samsung would launch a smartphone with flexible screen in October.
Samsung's mobile business head of strategic marketing DJ Lee said had made the announcement during the Seoul launch of the Galaxy Note 3, saying, "We plan to introduce a smartphone with a curved display in South Korea in October."
Curved display is already commercially available in large-screen televisions. LG had introduced a curved 55-inch OLED TV in May 2013 this year.
