It’s been six years since the last Half-Life game and Valve still hasn’t made any announcement for a sequel. However, the rumour mill continues to grind, and the latest one comes courtesy of Valve news website ValveTime, who have found evidence of some of the internal projects at Valve, including Half-Life 3, a sequel to the popular Left 4 Dead series and a new version of the Source engine, among other things.

The evidence has been discovered from a mailing list that was found in project management and bug tracking software Jira. Valve apparently had to react to an issue with Jira, which then left a short window where Valve's internal tickets were publically accessible. Shortly after this, the company shut down the access to its Jira database.

WUBWUBWUB is an appropriate a title for a database entry as any

There are many listings in the database, with names like Stars of Blood, Return to Ravenholm, Episode 3/Episode 3 Movie, Hardware/Hardware Core, SteamMMO/SteamMMO Core and F-Stop. There were also some joke groups in the database which had names like WUBWUBWUB..., yo dawg and gayben, among others.

Few companies in the gaming world are followed as closely as Valve. This may be largely because of its utter silence on the sequel to Half-Life 2: Episode 2, which is based on the Source Engine. Many speculate and talk about rumours of the fabled next iteration of the game. Some believe it will be Half-Life 2: Episode 3, others believe it will be Half-Life 3. If Valve were to follow its regular pattern, a supposed Half-Life 3 would showcase the capabilities of engine, which is rumoured to be named Source 2.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
