Google's second generation Pixel XL could come with an ambient display and multiple display profiles

The latest report surrounding the second generation of the Google Pixel XL suggests that the rumoured OLED panel will support multiple display profiles along with an always-on-screen.According to a report from XDA Developers, the second generation of the Pixel XL will allow users to change the display’s sRGB mode introduced back in the Google's Nexus series over to a 'Vivid Colors' mode if desired. The display mode customisation is not currently found in the stock version of Android and is also not available in the latest developer beta of Android O. The display mode customisation is also said to feature directly in the standard display settings window instead of being hidden under the Developer Options Menu.Google also seems to be working on adding an Always-On display to the Pixel lineup for the new device, as per the report. Developers at XDA found mentions of a toggle that refers to an ambient display in the latest developer preview of Android O that launched last month. This could help substantiate the rumour, but the feature is, however, located under the System Tuner settings, which suggests that it could be experimental.XDA's report also noted that the user interface on the 2017 Pixel XL could be moving back to the darker, default theme that was seen in the earliest versions of the Android O Developer Preview as well as a new system font.An earlier report also pointed that the device could be expected to feature a slim bezel, 6-inch AMOLED display with a 2:1 aspect ratio and rounded corners. A pressure-sensitivity based squeeze frame like the HTC U11 was also rumoured.
