Google pulls plug off some more of its services
Google had, earlier this year decided to shut down some more of its services after they failed to meet the expectations.


Focus on the prominent apps
The Google Friend Connect, which allowed sites to connect with their subscribers is also going be shut. Google is advising to those using the service to move to Google+, which should offer similar functionality. Google Gears, the offline web applications software will also be terminated. Google hoped to use Gears to offer some of their services without the need of an internet connection. Google Bookmarks Lists, Google Search Timeline and Knol, some of the less popular services will be shut as well. Google has invested money in cheaper and alternative energy sources.
