Chinese smartphone maker Gionee on Monday launched a new smartphone P7 Max in India. The 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone comes with a 5.5-inches HD IPS display and is powered by MT6595 Octa core 2.2 GHz Processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM along with expandable memory up to 128 GB. The smartphone also sports 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.The Screen has a scratch resistant glass on it, and there are dual sim card slots. The Smartphone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow skinned with Gionee's custom UI, Amigo 3.2. The phone is powered by a 3,100 mAh battery with a standby time of 290 hours."We are excited to present the new P7 Max. At this price point, it will be a perfect buy for customers this festive season," said Arvind R. Vohra, Managing Director and Country CEO, Gionee India in a statement.The phone was launched in Nepal earlier this month, and an Indian launch has been expected. This budget to mid range phone is priced at Rs 13,999, which is only slightly more expensive than the pricing in Nepal, which is priced at Rs 21,999 in the Nepal currency. The smartphone is available in gold and grey-blue colour across retail stores.Recent Gionee launches in India include the selfie centric Gionee S6s and the virtual reality oriented Gionee S6 Pro.With inputs from IANS
